Direct Deposit is the electronic transfer of payments from your employer or other payer to your Rhode Island Credit Union checking or savings account. It's convenient, safe and reliable. You'll save time and your funds will be available immediately on the day of deposit. As an added bonus, Direct Deposit members also receive free travelers cheques and notary service.
Sign up for Direct Deposit for:
Your pay from any employer who offers direct deposit
Social security, retirement benefits and payments from federal or state government agencies
Investment income or any other payments sent electronically through the Automated Clearing House (ACH)
You can also arrange to have your account automatically debited to make pre-authorized payments. The information provided below will assist you in initiating your request with the originator of the deposit or payment.

For checking account deposits or debits, use the 9-digit account number located on your checks after our routing and transit number.
Direct Deposit Procedures for State of Rhode Island Employees: For savings account deposits, use your 9-digit member number as indicated on your statement followed by two zeros. For checking deposits, follow instructions above.

In addition to direct deposit, you can choose payroll deduction as an option to deposit some money from your check automatically into any account with Rhode Island Credit Union. Check with a Rhode Island Credit Union representative to determine if payroll deduction is available through your employer.
Our Automatic Transfer Service is a free service that allows you to schedule regular transfers from your Rhode Island Credit Union Savings or Checking Account to make loan payments, club account deposits or other transactions.
